Madugula is a small village in the Anakapalli district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Once known as Vaddadi or Vaddadimadugula, Madugula was ruled by the Matsya dynasty and later became a part of the Nandapur Kingdom. Before India's independence, Madugula was ruled of the British. Madugula Halwa is a specialty of Madugula where it was first made in 1890.
