Ingredients Required

 

      2 cups dried coriander leaves

      2 cup dried mint leaves

      1/2 roasted peanuts

      2-3 green chillies

      2 tbsp onion powder

      1/2 tsp citric acid

      salt as per taste

 

Method

 

      The first step is to add dry coriander leaves and mint leaves in a grind.

      Secondly, blend the ingredients to form a fine powder and take the powder out of a bowl. Now add peanuts to the grinder and blend to form a coarse mixture.

      Your next step is to add coriander-mint powder, peanuts mixture, salt, onion powder, green chillies, and citric acid to the blender.

      Now blend to form a coarse powder and store in an airtight container. So you can easily keep it in the fridge for 4-5 months.

      Just take 1 tbsp powder along with 1 tbsp water, mix, and the chutney is ready. You can now have it with any food that you like.

Gun Powder Chutney/Andhra Chutney Podi

 

If you are a South Indian food lover, you must know that this spicy Andhra-style chutney goes well with idli, dosa, and uttapams. Apart from being known as Gun Powder Chutney, we also know it as Andhra Chutney Podi because of the blend of spices. How can you prepare it? Let’s share with you:

 

Ingredients Required:

 

      6 whole chillies

      1 tbsp urad dal

      2 tbsp chana dal

      1 tsp peppercorns

      1 tsp sesame seeds

      1 tsp rice

      1 stalk of curry leaves

      1 tbsp desiccated coconut

      1/4 tsp hing

      salt as per taste

 

Method:

 

      Firstly dry roast whole red chillies, black peppercorns, chana dal, and urad dal in a pan.

      Secondly, roast for 4-5 minutes. Now add rice and sesame seeds to the pan. Roast for another 2 minutes on low flame.

      Lastly, add curry leaves, hing, salt, and desiccated coconut powder and roast for 2 more minutes.

      Take off the flame and let the mix cool down a bit. Now add to a blender, make a coarse powder, and store in an airtight jar.
